ANNUAL REPORT 2019-2020
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India and more than that a man of many parts, very passionately and true to his nature wrote, “She has been a symbol of India’s age-long culture and civilization, ever-changing, ever- flowing, and yet ever remaining the same.” His muse was the Ganga, who is more than just a river and has riveted our collective attention like no other water body could manage to do. Her joy becomes ours and her grief engulfs us all. It is this fact “SR & Rajendra” in bliss
And to this celebration, with pleasure and privilege, I welcome one and all who are here with us this evening. With your permission, I now present the Annual Report for the year 2019-2020. And, hope to take you through our efforts and achievements registered by the school since the last Annual Day celebration.
My dearest father-in-law Mr.S.Rajendran is the Founder of this trust and my husband Mr.R.Siva Babishram, MIB is the Managing Trustee and myself being the Principal and lay down the law of SR Institution and we the SSN group is very energetic, kinetic and innovative persons and work untiringly toaccomplish students’ dream.
We got the Government approval for SR Institution in the year 2014. And our school started functioning on 2nd June 2014. Our school name was enlisted under the government acknowledged school lists in the year 2014 itself. And we got approval for CBSE from Board of Education of Tamil Nadu. The primary aim of our SR School is to give the standard education to the rural area students and the subjugated community of local area. Now it has grown to become a radiant school with multi specialty classrooms and the government proportion of children.
SR School of Excellence stands majestically in its own spacious of 5 acres ground, runs under the name of Kulavaimozhi Ammal Sivan Nadar Educational Foundation.
Our School strength is from various part of our Surandai locality; specifically from Surandai, Keela Kalangal, Solaiseri, Surandai, Atchankundram, Keela Aanaikulam, Rettaikulam, Kalangal, Meela Serndamaram, Thirumalapuram, Kadayaluruti, Pandiyapuram, Velappanadaroor, Sambavarvadakarai, Sundarapandiapuram, Rettiyarpatti, Vendrilingapuram, Veerasigamani, Thannoothu, Ayyapuram, Vendrilingapuram etc. that inspires
LEARNING ENVIRONMENT:
Our school was established in 2011 as the consummate the needs of every student in the rural as well as urban areas by my loving father -in-law Mr.S.Rajendran and was the manipulated by us with 33 students and 3 staff members. Now it has grown to become a reputed school.
SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE:
Our SR School has a sprawling area comprising more than 5 acres of land, as you see, in attractive environment without any hassles of traffic, noise pollution or any kind of threat to the safety of the students.
The school building comprises about 48 rooms and a big conference hall and four aisles of washrooms.
We have science stream and have well equipped Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Computer Labs which are upgraded year after year in line with the studies.
We have a library comprising all sorts of books which gets stocked regularly with the latest editions.
We are lucky to have a vast ground for major games like football, cricket etc. Our boys are regular player of district volley ball.
We have installed HCL – Smart class facilities in the entire classrooms as an aid of learning on the audio-video theory of learning. All the classes from Pre- KG to Higher Secondary level have been initiated Smart class facilities.
The annual school development Report outline our student’s achievements, programs & services and discusses the status of our current school development plan. We’ll continue to assess where our strength & needs lie in order to focus our school growth efforts into the future.
Increase opportunities for institutional leadership, skills and sharing of best practices within & outside the school staff skills development to increase the knowledge and utilization diverse teaching and assessment practices. To support inclusionary practices in our school & classrooms.
I’m very pleased with the support & direction I’ve received from our school Trustee, I’m particularly grateful for the confirmed support we receive from parents. I would like to thank the teachers & staff for their dedicated commitment to skills, Instruction & student development.
ACADEMICS:
Achieving academic excellence is at the heart of endeavour of all educators and academic Institutions. An important measure of this pursuit is how the Institution has performed in third party assessments.
Cleanliness drives are held from time to time with students and staff whole- heartedly taking part in the drive that covers areas in and around the school campus. The aim is to help students understand their strengths and identify what skills they need to improve to negotiate in a not-so-easy world.
ACCOMPLISH IN SPORTS:
Our students participated in various championship tournaments at district, state and national levels and won prizes. A few commendable achievements at the district, state and national levels.
In Madurai Mirchi Kiddifest competition our student Dharshini got III prize in Dance competition out of 79 schools.
In MSPVL Polytechnic College conducted Science Project Competition. Our students got First place and get `5000 cash award.
ENHANCEMENT OF SKILLS IN TEACHERS AND STUDENTS.
2019-2020:
As part of achievement programme, various workshops & seminars are periodically organized throughout the year for the overall development and enhancement of skills in teachers and students.
Workshops for students on Good Eating Habits, of a Teenager, Self Confidence, Positive Peer Connection, Stress Management, Raising a Mathematician, Cyber Security, Career Guidance in Do We Really Need To Plan? Rhythm, Phonetics, Growing Up, have been conducted for different age groups.
COUNSELLING SESSIONS
The school has integrated life skill training program in the schedule so that students develop the ability to meet difficulties in life in a constructive way. It involves performing skits, plays, making posters, etc.
LANGUAGE ARTS & MATH
Our students continue to perform well in the math & language assessments. We’ll have Language Lab to enrich the Reading & Speaking skills. Inclusion remained a focus of our teaching practice, teaching have also had continued professional development around enhancing inclusion in our school.
We have the special coaching on NEET. In this rural area, our motto is to give a good professional to this society. We are concluding inter school competition in the fame of SR Miracle to upswing the skill for other school students. We are conducting Cultural Fiesta from this year onwards. Among on SSN group giving opportunity to take part in all the skills & also getting a stress free atmosphere.
CELEBRATIONS AND JUBILATIONS
- Celebrations sharing the happy moments together and spreading joy all around is a vital facet of SR Miracle which we follow every year tremendously.
- The Independence Day & Teachers’ Day were celebrated with great reverence and fervor.
- As part of school activity, ‘SR Cultural Fiesta’ of fun and frolic was held in the school premises from this year onwards. Parents, Children, Teachers participated enthusiastically in the event.
ADVENTURE TRIPS, VISITS AND EXCURSIONS
Our school organizes excursions and field trips every year to help students gain first hand knowledge and augment their academic learning.
PARENT INTERFACE:
The school places a lot of importance in maintaining cordial relationship with parents with extra care being provided to attend every individual issue brought to its notice. The periodic PTM provides an opportunity for two-way communication between teachers and parents and affords a good opportunity to interact face to face on all issues concerning the progress of students.
